Description
Untreated Wild Rose Absolute (rosa centifolia)
Rose absolute is produced by solvent extraction, whereas rose otto is produced by steam distillation; there is a higher yield from the solvent extraction method, hence the absolute is not so expensive as the otto. It is also more viscous and is generally liquid at room temperature, unlike the otto which is usually solid at just below room temperature.
There is slightly less pharmacological activity in rose absolute.
Rose is the oil of birth, new beginnings, new born and is often chose by young animals, as well as those who have experienced a troubled youth.
Another balancing oil – especially of hormones, on its own or along with Rose Geranium, Clary Sage & maybe Vanilla.
May be chosen by the typical ‘moody mare’ or male & female animals resentful about past treatment.
It is also chosen by anxious animals and is the only EO known to act directly on adrenaline.
