Wild Carrot Seed (Daucus Carota) Essential Oil
This essential oil is extracted from the seeds of the wild (inedible) carrot, often referred to as ‘Queen Anne’s Lace’ in Europe and not to be confused with carrot root (edible) macerated oil.
Carrot seed oil is rich in carotene and vitamin A, (beneficial for the eyes and effective antioxidants), as well as being anti-bacterial, anti-carcinogenic, diuretic and having vermifuge properties.
We have found that often herbivores with a worm burden will select carrot seed essential oil, presumably for its vermifuge properties and maybe also for its detoxifying properties and for cell repair. A few drops may be added to a bucket of water & left available for self-selection.
