These organic vanilla pods smell delicious and are human grade, so you can use them in recipes; to make your own vanilla sugar (for custards etc) as well as in applied zoopharmacognosy by offering to animals.
Animals with a tendency to bite or chew will often select vanilla (either absolute or pods) and it seems to have a calming & comforting effect.
