Organic Fennel (foeniculum vulgare) Essential Oil
Extracted from the seeds by steam distillation.
Also known as sweet fennel, it is an excellent oil for digestive upsets – it’s calming and helpful for dispelling gas, bloating and nausea. Fennel is very useful in detoxification by supporting the organs of elimination. As an aromatic water, Fennel is a constituent of the famous gripe water for babies & helpful for digestion issues including nausea.
Fennel essential oil may also be selected by animals with digestive problems such as colic (it is an effective anti-spasmodic hence its inclusion in babies’ gripe water) as well as for its female hormone balancing effects.
It is also helpful in regulating lactation and can stimulate milk production or dry it up, depending on the need.
It can be offered to horses when tightening the girth and they seem to really appreciate it.
